Excellent trekking poles for the money, as far as I can tell
This is the first set of trekking poles I’ve used/owned, so can’t really compare them with brand name or more expensive models. But these seem to do the trick just fine, and seem durable enough. The only reason for a star off is the clamps are made from cheap plastic, and do not instill much confidence in longevity. Also, the humongous logo and website printd on each pole is obnoxious. I will be covering that up with a marker at some point.Being new to trekking poles, and kinda thinking they were a bit overkill for most situations, after owning these for just a week I’m already a convert. Not only do they take weight off my knees, which can wear out after longer hike, but after watching some how-to videos about proper use (hands going up/under in the straps, using the poles to propel), I’m finding a surprising amount of upper-body exercise from using them for uphill climbs, downhill bracing, and general rocky/rooty trail balance.I am far less worn out after long hikes, and doubling up the fitness benefits during a hike is well worth the investment in trekking poles. Can’t see myself ever hiking without them, even just for the upper body exercise.They are almost like adding oars to your walking stride, once you get the rhythm going. The benefits of these surprised me, I thought I was going to find them to be a niche situation item, but I plan on keeping them with me for every hike in the future.

Great product, exactly what I was looking for! Compact, sturdy, and easy to fold up to store on the outside of your pack. The poles come with a tag with a QR code that brings you to a site where the company has a bunch of videos on how to use and care for your poles and more. They really put a lot of effort into making a great product and ensuring the customer has a great experience, and it shows!

Get’em!
I haven’t been able to field test these poles yet and, when I do, it’ll be under flat sub-tropical and tropical terrain. It’s hoped they will last long enough to be tested under mountainous geography in a year or so. I, however, have no reason to fear that they won’t last as they seem phenomenally good for the price point. Aesthetically, these poles are as attractive as any other in the market, while mostly keeping a basic black and white color palette. It features what seems to be reliable and sturdy cork trekking handles, with a foam handle under them. Both appear to be of excellent quality. The handles feel very comfortable in my short but wide hands. There are no concerns with the hard-plastic tips of the handles. The straps, prominently displaying the nicely embroidered company brand, have soft wicking material inside, are pretty thick, and compare favorably with any from other more expensive poles out there. They are secured into the top hard-plastic section of the handles by a small plastic plug that’s part of the straps themselves rather than the handle tops. One simply has to pull the plug out for strap adjustments. The ease of adjustment, though, is worrisome as it might come out easily while using them. You have to push that sucker in quite hard to secure the strap back after adjustments. This might very well be a non-issue, like I said, I haven’t field tested them yet, but best to be aware of it beforehand. They are made of aluminum 7075, don’t feel heavy at all, unless you are looking for feather-weight poles, which can’t be made of this material. The adjustment range of the top portion of the shaft is clearly marked and it’s quite generous. The adjustment knobs require little effort, solid, work fast and well. It comes with all the goodies for all terrains, a fine bag and they pack small. The company behind them is a small one quite adept at creating a true sense of community around its customers with superb customer service. I purchased two pairs, another for my wife, who is 2.5 inches taller than me, but the poles can accommodate us both (I’m 5’6.5” and she’s 5’9”) and we are giddily anticipating breaking them in… Well, not breaking them… you know what I mean, do you?

My wife and I have been very pleased with this purchase. We were looking for walking poles that would fit in a carry-on suitcase, and there weren’t that many options. These fit the bill when they’re folded down, but they’re very sturdy when they’re put into action. They’re also of course easily adjusted for height. They come with a useful selection of tips for different terrains.
