Pockets, D-rings and Loops everywhere.
Now here is a pack that was either designed by avid hunters or the designer actually took the time to collaborate with people that actually hunted the wilderness, not just a few hikers or campers. This thing has plenty of D-rings and attachment loops to hang your gear from and plenty of straps to keep everything secured. The description says it has 15 pockets but I’m not sure I’ve located them all yet. It was nice to find the one pocket designated for the rain cover located on the bottom of the backpack. It’s not very big but still large enough to house the cover as well as the detachable weapon carrier sling. You may even be able to sneak a few other small items in the pocket as well. Having the pocket accessible from the outside of the pack means you no longer have to go digging through the inside of the bag to find your cover. The instructions suggest you can side-load your rifle by placing the butt-stock in one of the roomy side pockets most packs use for water bottle storage, with plenty of adjustable straps along the side to secure the weapon. One advantage I see with this pack over my old pack is the padded waist belt seems to ride a little higher around my waist which should prove to be far more comfortable. My old pack rides low on my hips and about 4 to 5 hours into a hike my hips start to hurt from the downward force pressing against my hips, and the hike out ultimately becomes extremely painful. As this one rides higher, that problem should go away, hopefully. Also the added ability to attach a holster means I can use this as a day pack during the summer and keep a weapon conveniently located in case of unexpected encounters with bears, wolves, mountain lions, or rattle snakes.Added benefits are the ability to install a camel pack water bladder and free up the side pouches for other gear and/or food. And there is a small emergency whistle built into the chest strap buckle. I think I’m going to love this pack and considering the low cost of this one, it far out-paces every one of my other light to medium duty packs.I will add this though, if there is anything missing that could add to the expandability of this pack its the fact that it does not have strips sewn into the outside of the pack for hook & loop accessory attachments.

Incredible bag
My husband has had many hunting bookbags over the years, and this one takes the cake by far! The first thing I noticed was the nice water tight zippers. And every zipper is like that, even the small sections. This bag has 3 zippered areas that are a large section, medium section, small section, and then all kinds of little rings and clip-on spots. The straps are a nice thick but comfortable padding, and then there’s extra padding on the top of your shoulders on the bag side as well. The strapped section that goes around your waist has 2 pieces to it on both sides. One has slots for ammo or calls, and the outer section has small zippered bags. It comes with a rain cover as well as a zippered spot on the bottom to store the rain cover in. The cover fits easily over the bag. The blaze orange was a genius idea, so you can also cover it when it’s not raining to ensure you’re seen walking through the woods. Also comes with the pouch style bag you use to carry a bow or larger gun like rifle or muzzleloader. The steel harness you put into the back helps hold the shape nicely. My 1 and only complaint is the thin plastic liner in the back part of the bag. When it’s shipped to you the bag is folded in half. So that plastic has a curve to it from being bent over. It’s hard to see in pics but pic#6 shows the curve best. Once it’s packed full of things it may help straighten it out. But it’s a shame to have such a nice bag be lessened by a quick fix….ship without folding it. For everything else this bag offers, it’s easy to overlook that, and again, it will probably straighten out once packed. Overall, this is a great bag for any hunter. There’s a pocket or section for everything!

Very Well Designed Pack
New View put together a really well designed hunting pack. The camo is versatile and fits many woodland environments. The pocket layout is great with waterproof zippers. I was really surprised how well thought out all the features were in this pack. It has a hydration pocket with tube lock on the strap. The pack is very adjustable and will fit many frames. The steel frame adds some support and structure to the pack. There is a pocket on the bottom of the pack with a waterproof zipper that houses the pack cover and/or the pocket to hold the gunstock or bow. The gun carry system works well and keeps hands free. With any pack, the most important thing is the carry comfort. The shoulder straps and waist belts are adjustable and comfortable allowing me to carry a loaded daypack with comfort. There are actually a bunch of pockets for all the needs I have for a day in the woods or mountains. I feel that New View got a lot of hunter feedback in designing this pack. This a pack I can highly recommend and feel it is a great addition to my collection of hunting gear.

Good day pack
This New View backpack is a nice surprise, a great value pack that is well built. The nylon material is strong, doesn’t feel like it will rip or tear easily. The zippers are very good quality, much higher than I expected at this price pint, the tracks are also covered for water resistance. The is inside is lined, the inner pockets may be the only weak point on the pack for me, they remind me of those cheap school backpacks but I will see how they hold up over time. The double waist sections are a neat addition, not sure what I will hold there but it is nice to have some space in case I need it. The metal frame is a game changer for me, I have not used a pack like this before and I have to say I really like it. The camo pattern looks great too, they should tone down their logo a little bit but hey made a great pack so I guess they are proud!

Good small hunting pack
Going on 2 years and still holding up fine. Only wished some of the zippers were smoother.

I really like this pack. The quality feels great, it has a crap load of space and pockets. It has so many features I like I can’t list them all. So far my 2 favorites are the waist band pockets and the 2 lower straps that can be used to strap up a tent or a bed roll etc….
