Dont even think about it, just get it!
This pack is awesome for a weekend pack! I brought this to red river gorge and had enough room to pack my equipment plus that of my dog. Its comfortable and has extra tall padding around the hip area to support the load. The material was durable and the zippers were well constructed and lined in the fabric. Ideal for hunting but works great for a daypack. Got some great compliments on it and i was very quick to recommend it to others. Would love to explore Alps as a brand more thoroughly.

Ok, so those of you in the market for a new pack for the backcountry, this is the one. I am an outfitter/guide and have used every pack out there. I've tried every big brand possible , from Eberlestock, Badlands, Horn hunter and Cabela's packs, including the guide model fanny pack. The zippers always failed. There new packs are very poor. Whoever designed them has never been in the woods chasing elk or deer, they probably should be designing something else! This pack has all the right adjustments. One reviewer complained of chafing. I did some adjusting and it feels great. I even put a load in it and it just feels part of you. Take thirty minutes when you get it and adjust to fit. The zippers are smooth on this and yes there is a water bladder compartment, and when the pack is unfolded into the pack from the fanny it says H20 where the hose comes out. The padding is great on the hips as well as the shoulders, again adjustments everywhere. I also got the bino harness with it and the buckles are compatible (One reviewer stated otherwise). The harness is a nice addition. I currently use the Kuiu bino system and this is nice too, but every company has different buckles which is lame, but it is what it is. I use 10×42 swaro's and it is tight fit but still good. If you choose not to use the bino system and have a different preference no biggy, just unclip the ALPS and use whatever you desire. The pack is a complete pack. I still use frames for meat hauling but could easily use this if needed. It literally is 4 packs in one. If you live in the mountains every opportunity you can like I do and you need a quality pack , no doubt this is the one. If there was one negative (minor) it would be the orange ALPZ writing on the back and the orange badges on the harness. A black Sharpie corrected this. Cannot understand why pack company's use red (badlands) or orange, when every other part is camo? For all you turkey hunters out there! No red or orange. Again a little tweaking and this will be your go to pack! This is an all-around pack for you rifle guys to muzzleloaders to archery, a nice little slit for guns or bow and spotting scope stands or photography stands. Now get to ordering and go spend three four days with this in the wilderness, Very water resistant to all the elements mother nature throws your way. I ordered Max 1 camo (wish they had Predator or similar), but it works for the rugged woods of Washington!

Hey guys and gals this pack is pretty awesome. It has plenty of room for all my Michigan whitetail hunting gear, including extra gear if I’m needing to camp out for the night in 10 degree weather. I can comfortably carry my binos, range finder, water purifier, ammo, knife, extra ammo, ground cloth, heavy fleece, down coat, nalgene, fire starting gear, gps, etc in there and can also pack out quartered meat. This pack has got way more space needed than the day hunter would need, but you can pack away the stowable Backpack part which is nice. I haven’t used the bow or gun sling yet only because I prefer to keep them in hand when walking through the woods, but for hunting out west I could see the use for them for sure. Its super easy to use and has nice quiet zippers. I would highly recommend this pack. The only downside may be that it is warm on the back and shoulders when hiking 15+ miles in the mountains like we do in Michigan’s upper peninsula. That being said it is very comfortable and the weight is very evenly distributed between the hips and padded shoulder straps, a trade off that I’m willing to make. Other packs and waist packs I’ve used in the past are cumbersome and uncomfortable after only a few miles. I like to hike with minimal layers anyway so not a big dea. I will probably be buying the accessory bags also for items that I like to have readily on hand while hiking. All in all excellent bag! Good luck hunting and shoot straight!

I previously used a large waist pack when hunting and was tired of how uncomfortable carrying a heavy waist pack can be. This pack has more room and with the, very comfortable, shoulder straps. The straps and belt are lined with a heavy duty ventilating material to further add to the comfort. I now carry more weight and don't even feel a bit uncomfortable. I used it many times this past season and it has become my favorite piece of hunting gear. There is an expansion pocket with a zipper that turns it into a full pack that I can use to carry rain gear extra jacket, etc.for an evening hunt or the clothing I remove as the day warms in a morning hunt. It has several pockets with sturdy zippers, one on each side of the waistband/belt. On the waist pack there is a large zippered pocket, a pouch with a zippered pocket inside, This pouch, along with the straps on the extendable pack portion can be used to carry a bow. I haven't used it for that but if I had to drag out a deer it would come in handy. It would probably work for a rifle also. Has a place for a hydration bladder in the expandable portion. There is a mesh water bottle holder on the right and a pocket on the left side that has a silent fastener. There are cinch straps to keep things tight. The silent latch pocket is a very good idea but would be better if it were used, instead, on the one or both of the pockets on the waist band part; a little easier to reach. There are also expansion accessory pockets available. Other than the silent latch pocket placement I think this pack is perfect.

Ordered this for my new saddle hunting set up. Hell of a bag!!! Heavy duty, works for any purpose! Great camo! Just all around a really good bag and plenty of space and options! My only concern is that it is bulky/larger than I expected. I am going to try and make it work but my hunting goal this season was to eliminate as much bulk and weight as possible! We will see if I can manage to do that completely with this bag!

    Resistente y Robusta

Reviewed in Mexico on May 5, 2018

Thought I would try some west coast hunting before I review this product, what can I say this pack is the best, more then enough room, if not to much space for a morning hunt, might have to order the little bear as well. The quality of this pack is far better then I expected for such a good price, its quite in the bush, obviously designed by hunters, nothing rattles, materials really quite, everything stayed dry. It has all the adjustabilty you could want or need to custom fit the pack, and after a 10km hike up and down rough mountain bush in west coast rain, I have nothing bad to say about this pack and would buy it again.
Because I'm non bias the small list of cons are
-Heavy to start but only because of the upper pull out back pack, twice the space = twice the weight
-With water bottle in holder on right side of pack I can only comfortably carry my rifle on left shoulder, so water goes elsewhere.
