This is my third review. Ive been fishing for over 50 years and Kastking is by far the best value for the money.I have 3 now, all a littlee diferent from eachother and they all are excellent to fish with.I would love to be on team Kastking,

Great Combo
Honestly this is the first review I’ve ever done. I’ve had this rod/reel combo for about a while, and it’s great! Smooth, strong, easy adjustments, great looking, and it works great! I only wish they offered it in different colors, I would have a collection of them. I took a chance purchasing this combo and it worked out great. I highly recommend

Pretty Good Baitcaster
So this is my first baitcaster, and I will say that I’m impressed. I’ve used my brother’s Shimano with a digital chip, and though this isn’t nearly as fine tuned, it is a great way to learn the basics. The only reason I removed a star is that it can feel a little clunky when casting.

Fantastic Fathers Day Gift
My wife picked this combo up for me for a Fathers Day gift. I had been looking forward to trying out a bait caster and this seemed like a good choice. This was my first KastKing rod and reel and I must say, I will be purchasing more KastKing products. Great value for the price. Believe it or not, I have not done too bad as a newbie to the bait caster reel either. A couple of incidents of bird nesting, but most of those were my own fault for leaving the brakes lower than I should have for the weight of the lures I was using.If you are new to bait casters, this is a great set up that won’t break the bank. It came safe and securely packaged and was easy to get set up. Make the purchase and happy fishing!

Impressive packaging and super light
Just received my pole and at first I was skeptical because the box was banged up but I was deeply impressed when I opened it and saw the secure tube packaging keeping it safe. Don’t be afraid to order this pole! It feels GREAT and I can’t wait to use it. I’ll give another update after I do, but I can already tell I’m going to love it.

THE REEL IS TERRIBLE AND DIDN’T EVEN WORK PAST FIRST CAST
BOUGHT THIS FOR MY SON’S BIRTHDAY EXPECTING THAT FOR THE PRICE IT WOULD BE AT LEAST REASONABLE QUALITY BUT THE $20 MINI SET UPS FROM THE GROCERY STORE WORKED AND LASTED LONGER. THE POLE IS OK BUT THE REEL DIDN’T EVEN MAKE IT PAST THE FIRST CAST WITHOUT SEIZING THE BEARINGS. UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO BAD WEATHER CONDITIONS IN NORTHERN MONTANA IT WAS PAST THE 1 MONTH RETURN DATE BY THE TIME HE WAS ABLE TO USE IT. SO HE’S STUCK WITH A POLE AND NO REEL.

I absolutely love this combo
I cannot say enough good things about this rod and reel. It was my first baitcaster setup (I’m up to 3 now) and it is easily my favorite and the first one I always reach for. My other combos are another kastking rod/reel then an expensive bass pro shop rod/reel combo.This setup blows both out of the water based on all around usability. I can cast unbelievably far and accurate. It took me a little bit to get used to not birds nesting every time I go out and I eventually decided braided line caused a lot of my issue.I only fish in a small pond behind my house and I consistently fight the urge not to buy another one of these combos because I like it so much
