Sturdy and Compact
This is a really nice little starter kit. I bought it for when my dad visits because we live on a lake and aren’t fishers, but he is always talking about fishing while he is here. It is very compact and everything folds up nicely in a zipper pouch that is about 18’x6″x2″. Definitely small enough to store in a closet when not in use. The poles seem adequate and the reels are very smooth. I love that it came with the fishing line already on the reels. It came with a few jig heads, swivels, weights and rubber worms. I will definitely need to supplement the lure selection, but I think that is by design because fishing tackle is going to be very specific to location and what you are fishing for. If you were a prepper this would be a good set to keep in your go bag or supply closet.

Great rod/reel not very durable
These are great. Not very expensive at all and you get twice as much pretty much for the price of one. The guides aren’t very good and come loose pretty easily, and the handle of one broke from just one fall. I slipped on some leaves and took a tumble. Dropped all the rods I was holding when I went down and when I picked them up this one was the only one that broke. Handle snapped right off almost at the joint where it connects to the reel. I was incredibly disappointed as I had only gotten to use it twice before that happened. But hey, it comes with two at least so I still have one functional lol. The line it comes with is fine, a little stiff but not bad at all. Casts great. Rod sections are made out of aluminum I would guess, some sort of light metal, not carbon fiber or plastic and that’s okay. I’ve hooked quite a few fish with the spoons that comes with the set of lures. Mostly baby bass, and I mean baby. They seem more attracted to the red plastic attached to the treble because a couple of the fish were smaller than the spoon itself 😂 I can only assume they honed in on the small red plastic bit and not the actual spoon.So yeah, it’s a great set for the money and I highly recommend it for anyone on a budget looking for some decent gear. You could honestly just buy this and go right out to fish, it has everything you need.

Compact and perfect for on the go.
This is the perfect set for my boys that love to fish. They got a bunch of lures for Christmas and now this makes it easy to take them. The bag is compact, the fishing poles seem sturdy and it comes with everything you need for a starter. I always worry about them hooking themselves or someone else when they are walking with their poles and now they can keep them in a bag until we are ready. It can stay in the car and not take up too much room. I can update after some uses in the water.

great portable fishing rods
I love these fishing poles, they are compact and stored easily in a bag. They are lightweight and telescope out. The reel run smoothly and there is good tension in the rod.

A good idea but does not deliver in durability
After the pole is set up, it just ok. The reel is excellent but the pole is hard to store and break down. The top of it broke on the first trip. I would keep the reel and get rid of the pole.

Good value. Decent quality.
For the price we paid, I’m happy with these. We took these to Alaska on vacation because they packed easily. Used them for some shore fishing and all went well. We’ll still use them around home, if needed. They’re not the greatest quality, but for the price I paid, I’m good with that.

Used for less than 3 months. BOTH BROKE!!I used both fishing rods for less than 3 months, we take great care of our rods, always keep them in the case and clean them. One the reel handle broke off mid use i couldn’t even reel my line back in and the other one the bail broke off and we couldn’t use it anymore. DONT BUY
