Very comfortable mat for floor exercises
I was time for a change. I’ve owned many mats, but all of them roll up rather than fold, and no matter how thick they were, the foam sunk in so my knees and tailbone weren’t protected from our hardwood floor. So I went searching through Amazon and other retailers for a mat that folded rather than rolled up, one with mostly positive reviews, and hopefully cost under $50. One of the highest rated was the CAP Barbell All Purpose Folding Anti Tear mat. I’ve owned many CAP fitness items, from barbells and weights to benches, and I’ve always found their gear to be a combination of above-average quality and reasonable prices, so I ordered the mat.This mat arrived well-boxed, not just shoved in a transparent plastic wrap. Not only did it arrived in a cardboard shipping box, it was also packed in a plastic wrap. When I opened it, it had no strong or unpleasant smells, just a very faint odor that wasn’t unpleasant. It had no tears or damage of any sort.I unfolded it, put it on the floor, and got down on it. I found the foam was dense enough to keep my knees from sinking through to the floor, and when doing bridges, it kept my hands and feet off the floor. A variety of exercises later, I found not even my elbows sunk through to the floor. The foam is comfortable to me, and it protects me from the hard wood floor. Awesome! For reference, I currently weigh 145 lbs.While my husband said it was like a mat at PT, I don’t think the stitching is that good. On the other hand, it cost about a quarter of what the mats at PT (or Lululemon) cost, so that’s fair.I’m very happy with my CAP Barbell All Purpose Folding Anti Tear mat. It protects my elbows, knees, hands and sit bones from the floor, letting me do my exercises and PT in comfort on the floor rather than on the bed, which is a huge improvement.

A great starter mat for gymnastics
Terrific gym mat. Lightweight yet 2” thick. I tried it at 155 pounds and it is awesome. Our 7 year old granddaughter is learning gymnastics. It folds small to slide under bed in tri-fold. Has a carry handle and is super light weight yet very sturdy. Younger sister does stumbling on it and perfect for any active child plus light enough they can carry it themselves.

A Must-Have Mat for Kids
I bought this all-purpose folding anti-tear exercise mat to use under my kids’ gymnastics bar, and it’s been great for that purpose. The mat is thick and very well-padded — exactly what I wanted to add extra safety and cushioning when the kids practice, climb, or occasionally lose balance.The material feels strong and durable, and even with daily use it still looks like new. The surface isn’t non-slip, but the padding and overall sturdiness still make it feel secure and comfortable.It also folds up easily, which is super convenient when we need to move it or put it away. Overall, a thick, sturdy, high-quality mat that works perfectly for kids’ gymnastics or general home workouts!

Perfect Style and Quality
Perfect quality and style. I bought a very big one for a play yard for a baby/toddler, but switched to a pack n play bed instead. I still use this mat, because I needed it behind the crib, next to the wood ramp railing, so he won’t hurt his head when he falls backwards. This is perfect because it’s obviously very padded, useful for when he gets older, and extremely easy to keep clean.PRO TIP: I purchased a 48 inch Lifetime Adjustable Table, and 10 Ft Dark Green Umbrella Canopy, to store the Mats under the table, along with a small plastic shelf toys outside. I cover it with the umbrella canopy to keep things clean and dry, and less of an eye sore. I just plop a plastic barrel looking planter on top, to keep it the cover from blowing off.
