This is every bit as good as the leading 249 g competitor. I was shocked that it almost seems a perfect clone in many ways. I generally use a mini three that I purchased a few years ago. So this was the first time me using a drone that connects through my actual cell phone instead of having its own RC screen. It has both and lightning as well as a standard USB-C plug-in for that. After charging the remote and the drone fully, I made sure to download any updates available. Almost everything I’m used to on the other leading brand is available on their app. The controller had a nice weight and handled the drone beautifully. If you have not gotten a higher end drawn before you’re probably used to operating something that is a bit Janky. Sometimes, in fact, you can spend a price that you think would give you something of real quality, and although you may be able to fly, you find yourself frustrated that the drone constantly is drifting and is rather unwieldy to steer. Not to mention the terror of return returning to home, right? In every aspect, this thing performed as good as my leading brand. It took high-quality photography. Which by the way you do need to get yourself a high-quality micro USB in order to be flight ready for photography. I was able to take panoramic 360° photographs that would the proper app allow you to look in any direction as if you are seeing the drones point of view. The cost of this is cheaper than a good game console by more than half. It’s not only fun to actually fly this which I can’t see for every drone out there, but for the cost of the average drone, the price point of this one does not have me absolutely terrified of what happens if I have a catastrophic crash. If that were to happen, at least I can already tell what my budget needs to be to replace it with an equal one. I can’t be more impressed with the overall plastic quality. I wasn’t familiar with this brand yet, but I’m finding already speaking in the drone community that it is up-and-coming and people are quite happy to find. It is a near perfect clone in terms of quality of a brand that people are quite used to. Specta has proven confidence in the execution of their design and product rollout. I am happily enjoying this. I am highly recommending this to you who are reading this as well as my own personal friends and family. I look forward to seeing what else they produce. And I look forward to seeing how things are with aftercare if ever needed. Now the battery installation and slot are not a direct clone to what I’m used to. That being the case, there’s no cross compatibility as far as I can tell. So I am hoping that they will either be producing low cost backup batteries for situations where I will need more flight time, or that there will be quality aftermarket ones that can build a trust up. Hopefully though, when it comes to back up batteries, Specta will produce very affordable, backup batteries so that I can buy multiple without too much pain to my wallet. I would say based on my most recent flight I would expect anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes of flight time with somewhat aggressive flying. But if you’re photographing local to you and not flying it too far, you might find that the actual airtime goes up. I have tried multiple drones in the under $300 market and most of them have been terribly disappointing. Today I am happy to report that this Specta drone is something worth your time and money. Both the well seasoned as well as the beginner flyer will find this and enjoyable drone for work or play.
