Sturdy and reliable duck call.
I appreciate this mallard call. I live by a river and there’s tons of water fowl. This call really works.

Really good call
Good and loud easy to use

Good
Worked great well my son had it. Only lasted a few days before his dog chewed it up. Sound is pretty good for the price. Quality is decent and I could see it lasting quite a few hunting seasons, but the dog got to it before the first season.

Decent mallard duck call – as long as you know what you are doing.

If your readty to move up to single reed calls, then buy this…
A good single reed duck call. The operative phrase here being SINGLE reed. If you are new to calling, this is NOT for you. Newbies want a DOUBLE reed call like the Primos Wench. A single reed call is louder, carries further, offers you a lot more variety and is MUCH harder to get to sound right. You MUST use “voice:” to get this or any other single reed to sound right. A single reed is much less forgiving of blowing a clinker than a double reed call is. You need to know what your doing, or you can consider this a long range duck repellent device! Seriously, you will scare them off before you can even see them much less shoot them. However, once you actually DO know what you are doing – a single reed call definitely belongs on your lanyard, and this is a good one to affordably make the leap from double to single reed. Plastic / acrylic material, comes with a good lanyard and instructions that are pretty much useless. To learn how to actually use this buy the Mastering The Art DVD from Primos, or better yet, have an experienced caller show you how.

For the price of the duck call, it is very easy to use and good quality!

the tone is a little low and my wildfowling mate told me to stop using it or i would need to have it surgically removed

Save your money for a better quality call. I’ve used this for a few years now and can’t seem to get it tuned properly. I’ve used other calls that work way better and not much more expensive. This call also clogs easily and won’t work well in low temperatures.
