I bought two of these reels and love both of them. I bought the size 6000 and size 8000 for saltwater fishing. Both are great reels. I’ve never bought a Penn reel that I was not satisfied with. This is a good looking and good performing reel, offered in different sizes for different needs. Highly recommended!

WOW what a nice fishing reel
This is my first time using this Preen Pursuit IV spinning fishing reel. I must say WOW it is build to allow me to cast long distances using a 12 foot fishing pole. The quality and workmanship of this spinning reel is outstanding very smooth in casting and winding in the line !

Hard to beat for the price.
Penn has always produced quality reels. this is no exception. The difference here is the price tag. while most quality reels cost well over $100, this delivers great performance at 1/2 that. It is a little heavier than other reels, but it is well made, smooth and powerful enough to land almost anything. More drag and line capacity than you’ll ever need.There are smoother lighter reels available, but be prepared to pay $100-$200 more.Highly recommend for new anglers or someone who needs more than one setup.
